locked doors!

tiff August 10th, 2012

as someone said in the newspaper…

“we don’t live in mulberry anymore!”

we were the unfortunate victims of a new strand of thefts happening in our sweet little mountain town…

we left our car door unlocked…and yep two of our iPods

(one of them was Rohnan’s and it actually says his name on it and “happy 10th birthday”)

were stolen right from our car parked oh-so-close to our home in the driveway…and yes it is so sad,

BUT…

it was our own damn FAULT…we are very trusting…but we will be WAY MORE cautious NOW!

c’dale is having a tough time with people stealing…bikes, anything in cars, oh AND cars…

and now we are told that we need to keep our homes tightly LOCKED up…SWEET!

locked doors!  locked DOORS…every damn one of them!!!!

guess we don’t live in Alaska anymore EITHER!

{we just found out we were not the only target…our neighbors across the street had their cars rummaged through and they got a away with a GPS…but their work laptop was on the passenger side…these thieves were definitely looking for little things…ugh}

Sorry to hear that. I remember when locals rummaged through Ruth’s car and tried to get remove the CD player. Many things never worked the same and for the first time, we locked our doors. Ugh……..

Oh by the way, it is NOT your fault. You shouldn’t have to lock up anything!

rick and i have had our car broken into a couple of times…you would think we would have been smart enough to bring in the iPods…we had my 35mm camera(not digital) stolen when we were in seattle at spaghetti factory…however someone bashed in our window to get it…then when my car broke down and we couldn’t get it towed until the next day someone bashed in the back window and stole the cd/radio, cd’s and speakers…wished they just had stolen the car, cuz’ it was kapoot…smiles!

Such a bummer! We have lived with this on the brain for the whole 25 years I’ve lived in Atlanta. It used to be that middle of the night thieves would rip out the entire dash to get the “cassette deck”. Now they grab what they quickly see. All the cars parked at kids’ baseball games are a big hit. Also, you can be cautious of your stuff and then people remove the catalytic converter under the car for the copper.
    ;(

I hate when things like this happen. Sorry to hear about this. We just got an alarm system in our home… things getting bad around our neighborhood too. Our town has always been a bit on the scary side.
