continental divide cabin

tiff December 19th, 2012

last weekend we went on our first hut trip in the 10th mountain division hut system.  it was easy to sign up for, however the weekends go fast…but it was a little challenging to get motivated to go…mostly because of timing.  however fortunately we convinced ourselves that this would be the best thing for all of us…GET OUT OF THE HOUSE and enjoy an intimate weekend with our children and friends!  Hugging up on our boys’ and just reconnecting through conversation w/o distractions!  and let me tell you…it was a BEAUTIFUL thing!

our cabin–fully equipped w/ all the basic needs!  a little family photo on the deck of the cabin!

i just loved that sign…i don’t know why…it just made me laugh–maybe because it was attached to the front door!  sam and rohnan were ski buddies and had a great time making jumps and skiing on any hill they could find!

keegan seeing if the orange sled will work.  keegan and i at the trail head–keegan is all loaded up!

sam giving me the sad face…silly boy!  levi trying to catch snow flakes before we head back to the cars!

there was not a lot of snow…but enough to ski on and enough to keep the tequila cold!
